Which brand of car wax is the best?
I was wondering what is the absolute best car wax that provides the best protection, is long lasting and suitable for most of car. Besides the 2016 BMW 5 Series, I also own an RV for camping trips across the country with my family. Normally, we use Meguiar’s product for waxing our RV after researching and reading some good piece of info about it on the internet. It worked great with my RV to slow down the oxidation and make ultraviolet shield. But I've not used it for my BMW. So what is the wax that you usually use for your car? Any suggestion?

Just the other day i did a full 5 hour detail. I used Mothers clay bar, combined with The Chemical Guys products, specifically their Butter Wax. I must say it did wonders for my paint. I have a 2011 Black Sapphire Metalic E91, and it looks like new again, mirror finish! I highly recommend Chemical Guys products!

Meguiar's wax is great but unfortunately it only lasts a couple months at best (maybe longer in the summer since less rain). I waxed my ride on Thanksgiving as my Lions were playing like shyt once again. Seems like the wax is already gone now.
I'm also looking for a long-term solution, I've heard sealants are better in that regard. |

Although it's somewhat technical, you should look into combining Jescar Power Lock Plus & Collinite 845.
2 layers of each will be durable. Remember, surface prep is key and also go light with both products. They're great and won't kill the wallet. |

Lots of great products out there. Really up to you. I personally use Collinite 845 (long lasting marine wax) for durability and let that cure overnight then topcoat with P21s for depth and shine. Both these are clear carnauba wax so no white stuff on the rubber. Both are easy on and easy off. The P21s is the best I have used to visually enhance the paint. Make sure you polish swirls out prior to wax.

Maybe...maybe not. Wax definitely gives an added layer of protection and a deep shine, especially on black cars.
It's for sure a pain in the a$$ to do which is why I'm thinking of going the sealant route. Spray waxes are the easiest to apply but they last for like 3 weeks. |

For the moment I'm educating new people at work . A dude told me he's also detailer in the weekends . Last month he did several cars with the Meguiar's Paint Protect , and he said I tried pretty much everything on the market but by Meguiar's Paint protect I'm really impressed . The stuff is liquid and very easy to use. And it gives long term protection. For the moment it's winter over here , and my car is stored in my garage . But in spring I will try it for sure .

Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant for me as far as sealants. Easy on easy off.
Collinite 845 is another keeper. There is so many good sealants out there it is hard to choose. So I chose a coating. It was the first thing I did when I bought my 08 535xi in November. All the family cars are coated. I polished with Optimum Hyper Polish and coated with Optimum Gloss Coat. Upkeep will be Optimum hyper seal used as a drying aid after washing or rinseless. |

I use Meguiar products for my vehicle.
I've used dozens of waxes over the past 30 years. Some might allow the water to bead after 3 or 4 surfs. Some perhaps a dozen. The above product is in the several dozen surfs before some areas do not bead anymore. I use it on my windshield too. Lasts many times longer than rain X and does not leave that headlight glare. It leaves a smoother feel than any other wax/polish I've ever used. I just ran out, and will not consider anything else unless it is free. I do not know if it is safe for clear coats. Here is some more reliable products that you can use for cars: https://outdoorfact.com/best-rv-wax-...rglass-review/ |
