First stop on our Vietnam trip: Hanoi.

Haven't been here in almost 20 years. It's very much French influenced and has that European feel to it.

Met up with some M owners in VN and hung out for a bit.

Ate at Bun Cha Huong Lien where Obama and Anthony Brought Bourdain ate together some years back.

We've got our traffic report up there on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. How's it going up there?

"Well, Adrian, it's not going exactly well. There's a water buffalo jackknifed up there. It's not a very pretty picture, there's horns everywhere. I dunno what to say, we're gonna maybe drop in a little napalm there, try to cook him down, have a little barbecue."

Began watching Anthony in Hanoi, had to go eat Pho. As the wife was scarfing it down, figured MAYBE she would be open to the idea of a trip to the peninsula. Can she get some tacos there? I'm sure there is plenty of hot chile.

Pho in Hanoi was just amazing. We ate at a few places and they were all really good. We met up with @H.I.T and he took us to Pho Thin which was the best of the bunch. Also got to ride in his M6.

They have this new egg coffee and that was delicious!! We had it 4 times in 2 days when we were there.

The banh mi in Hanoi was disappointing. The one in Saigon was amazing. The one in Hoi An (central VN) was fantastic! Also ate bu'n bo hue at The Lunch Lady in Saigon and it was really good. All these places, Anthony Bourdain has been there.

Went a few years back. Flew from HCM to Phu Quoc, which was a great experience.

Watch out for the motorbikes, they like to steal iphones
