I don't want to spend more than $2K. I don't watch TV much, maybe one show a night and a movie on the weekends. It's more for the wife.

It all depends how important tv is to you and your family, and if you can spot/appreciate a good quality picture. Thank you for the Magnolia advice. The Sony just dropped to $1,599 so I am hoping the Samsung will also. I'll be watching SlickDeals...
