Nice to see the Porsche beating the P1...and with the roof off nonetheless which would have only been faster with the top on given the worse drag.
Give the 918 some trofeos and the P1 will only lose again. Always love to see Porsche doing much more with much less. There Is No Substitute. |

Funny how even with the roof off the 918 was able to beat the P1 around the track. I think thats also why McLaren won't release a Ring time...bc it couldn't beat the 918. Sorry but my money would go to the 918 any day of the P1. It looks better, sounds better, drives better, and it just a flat out better engineered car. |

I think to say the 918 is a faster car is sort of premature... the track used was a fairly short, twisty course... it favors AWD and the low end grunt advantage of the 918. Ironically enough when they switched tires on the P1 it was faster by an even bigger margin over the 918.
REGARDLESS... both cars are glorious I am sure To try to pick one over the other, well... I may be able to do so in Forza, or Gran Turismo for now, but in real life... I'm not kicking either one out of bed Great vids for both, thanks for sharing!!!

I think there's a reason the P1 Ring time was never released...bc it wasnt faster than the 918 and thats about a long a track as you can get. |

With how outrageously fast they both are, I would take the 918. It's likely never going to see a track anyway and definitely never going to be actually raced so a couple seconds faster or slower isn't relevant. Both are very impressive but the balance of performance and technology makes the 918 an easy choice for me.
