iPhone video mount vs GoPro

I would rather use my IPhone to take videos while driving instead of a GoPro just for simplicity purposes and to always have the videos on hand throughout my Apple devices.

Does anyone know of a good mount that attaches to the inside of the front windshield by suction cups similar to a radar detector and is positioned to be able to take videos?

Ram Mounts are some of the best. Have a look at what they offer. I have the Ram
Mount on my mountain bike for the GoPro.

+1 for ram mounts. Expensive sometimes, but you get what you pay for.

I'm a big fan of the GoPro. So much versatility and capability you just can't get from your iPhone.
