WTB An e39 530, 540, M5? Need insight
I currently have a 2011 335i, I may do a full part out and pick up an e39
Here is my current build: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=687689 I do not track the car, however I do want a "clean" looking e39. I wanted to know as far as reliability... do the 540 or the M5's give too many problems? Obviously will be picking up a used one; I want to stir from as many problems as I could... Something to look like this: http://tuningcars.us/albums/userpics...e39-tuning.jpg that looks great, not over done.. seems like some kit it has on? (which one?) and a change in headlights... but anyhow, what would be my best bet as far as giving me the least problems but still being able to look ... fresh. I wont go too far into modding , at all. if an M5 would not give me too many problems - a stock clean M5 is the perfect look I am going for

If your looking at a 540/M5 go all the way with the M5. If you can handle the maintenance on a V8 get the M5. The 540 will be problematic. I love my M5 and you do not need to do much to it. Suspension and exhaust is all you will need if you plan on modding. The torque is amazing!

Anything but an M E39 will need a bit of love! The 540i is great for hooning, 528i is a balanced canyon carver, and the M is a Surgical Brute.
Your choice. |
