New to E39
My wife and I just purchased a 1999 528i with 84,000 on it. Well taken care of and lots of maintenance records including a cooling system upgrade. It drives better than any E39 I have ever driven with no front end shimmy under braking (that's why we bought it). Future upgrades may include a factory looking tint, larger OEM wheels and clear corners and side markers. I look forward to learning and contributing on the E39! Back in 1999, when I would be asked what car I would buy if I was a millionaire, it was the E39 (M5 of course) and now I have one!

Nice, and congratulations! I've had my 2000 528i for nearly 7 years now, and love it. It is, without exception, the best driving car I've ever owned. Good news that your car had the cooling system improved, and that there is no front shimmy. Cooling and suspension seem to be those nagging items that I've had repaired over the years. The suspension is wonderful, but it is a little high-strung and does wear. Looks like your car has had both refreshed at some point.
Because I have not posted a picture of my car in quite some time, I offer two here to see who else is willing to post theirs. It's had a new paint job in 2010, and some after-market wheels since 2009 (18"). On the latter, I found that, in my opinion, anything larger just didn't look right. I kept the colour original - Cosmo Black. One more thing - yes - that is a bagpipe decal on the rear window.

Welcome! Great looking cars! I agree... I believe E39s are among the best cars BMW ever built. Here's my 530i- I've had it for 2.5 years and it has 75k miles on it now. It's stock except for the black grilles, M5 rear lip spoiler, and Euro plate. I was leasing a 2006 330i (E90) before I bought it, and I truly enjoy this car more in every way.

I got them from Bavarian Autosport- I will list the link below. They're matte black, not glossy...

Nice! Welcome to the club. As a fellow 2000 528i holder, I can honestly that you have chosen ... wisely.
Cheers.
