Its called as tie-rod
Hey,
I had just replaced such a thing called as Tie rod on my driver side for e90 328XI 4DR. This connects the steering to wheels. I had it changed last week so still not sure but it did reduce the "THUD" sound when i go over a pothole. hope this helps. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...od&FORM=HDRSC2 Thanks Dan..
