De-badge

I looked through the threads to find a topic on this but I didn't see one sorry if I missed it.

What's the best way to de-badge the M235, I've never done it on any vehicle before.

Thanks.

I use a blow-dryer or heat-gun and some dental- floss. Car polish and wax.

If your car is black paint be extra careful.

I do it on a hot or warm day. Aim heat source at the edges of the number emblem at an oblique angle. ( I don't like to aim the heat dead on toward the paint.

Lubricate the dental floss with car- wash soap and get the floss behind the emblem and slice into the adhesive pulling the dental floss away from the paint but also slicing through the adhesive.

I use polish and wax to clean the remaining adhesive off.

That's basically how you do it - but I haven't done it on a 2-series.

When you floss, it will go through quite easily all you are doing is cutting through the foam part of the tape. You don't need a heat gun. All you need to do is get the emblem off leaving the adhesive behind, then soak that with goo gone and gently rub with a microfiber tower. Keep it saturated with goo gone the whole time.

Bravo. First thing I would do with the 235i is take the badges off.

Lighting isn't great but here's mine. Completely transforms the look of the car IMO.

UK can order from factory debadged. We can't???

I know this thread is asking about post-delivery. Just curious though if anyone has asked for debadging from the factory.

Did you remove these or painted w/o? I'm still trying to decide whether I remove or keep the back badge.
I already removed the side badges.
