Chicago pronunciation in navigation system
Any other Chicago area people notice that the navigation voice mispronounces Chicago?? It makes me crazy! I can't even type out phonetically how she says it, but it ends with a 'gwa' instead of 'go'. I was okay with her mispronunciation of Des Plaines (I mean, who gets that right anyway?), but CHICAGO?!

Maybe it's Chicagwan's who don't know how to pronounce Chicagwa.
Did you happen to catch the Maya Rudolph Show last week? It featured a couple who were the voices for navigation systems. It was very funny (and the best part of the show) and definitely fits this situation. |

hi
Maybe it's Chicagwan's who don't know how to articulate Chicagwa. Did you occur to capture the She Rudolph Display last week? It presented a several who were the comments for techniques. It was very crazy (and the best aspect of the show) and definitely suits this scenario. |

Don't worry, it's just its German accent.
I have already noticed weird pronunciations in the German version of the GPS, but mostly occur with street names. Anyway I am happy that it can understand MY weird pronunciation... |

You should see how it pronounces Minneapolis.
