Blasphemy....

Sooo.... My M4 is enroute to dealer, but not there yet.

Today I had oil change for wife's X6 and saw a sweeeeet new 2014 650i Gran Coupe M Sport (loaded) on the lot. $96k vs my M4's $78k.

Same money down, payment is only $100 more per month.... Had to pull the trigger. Picking up this afternoon!

If someone wants a Sapphire Black, Ext Black Leather Interior, Exec Pack, 19" Alloy Rims, Lighting Pack, Adaptive Drive, DCT M4... They can pick it up as early as this Tues (likely under MSRP).

Send me a message if interested and I'll provide dealer info.

Congrats!

Man, these deals I keep hearing (especially about the M5) are catching my attention and have me thinking about getting something else as well.

Enjoy your new vehicle in good health!

You totally derailed my plan to race it with an M5. Honestly the 650 is a nice car but it is a miles away a different car than the M4. I hope you will not regret the decision and would have been first delivery on the forum. However I did see a post elsewhere today that a dealer was holding car until 21st. PM dealer to me as I may have a buddy ready to move on it.

I can't believe you did this. Didn't you have a different color of the M on order, but took the launch car in a different color in order to get it earlier? A 650i GC is a nice car, but in a totally different direction. I am happy if you are happy, but I am surprised how much you changed your mind between things. IMHO I think you will regret it, but I will always support a fellow Hawkeye. So post some pics and show us your new car.

Haha! Yes, patience is not my virtue!

My wife wanted a bigger car and was not happy about the M4.

I've loved the 650's since they came out and the engine has a ton of power (our X6 50i hauls a$$).

Hope I don't regret as well, but this will tide me over until next round!

Go Hawkeyes!

Go Hawkeyes!
Well a happy wife is a happy life. This is still an amazing car and I sat in one at the dealership that was grey and it looked great. Every few years people typically get a new car so there is always time for an M3/M4/991S in the future. Still put up some pics for us as I would like to see that ride. The weather is great and it is a perfect time to take a new car for a drive. Go Hawkeyes!

I went 550i last time and I regret it. It's a boat. If I drove mostly highway it would be fine -- it's a great high speed cruiser. Never again for me. I do like that 6 interior though.

Whatever you do, don't test drive a M after you get your car... It'll just cause marital discord.

I would have to agree with that. It seems to me, if you were that trigger happy to go for the 6 GC (which I can not argue with you about, I almost did this myself)
But please do not test the M3/4 when they start arriving.
I guarantee you will be in marriage counseling before your next vehicle.

Great feedback, and appreciate the candid comments! No regrets, loving it! (And, yes, I'm not going to test drive an M until next car to avoid buyers remorse!)

I don't know whether I should say "congratulations" on the car choice made... as I strongly believe the M4 was the better choice... well, enjoy your ride anyways

You can congratulate me by posting pics of the M4's once everyone starts taking delivery. Sweet cars! I've got no remorse, but eager to read reviews from everyone on the forum.

it's a much more PRETTY car than the M4, that's for damn sure.....but i am more intrigued by your on-the-fly decision making than i am by the cars....spontaneity is a far more interesting thing than material objects, IMO.

yeah man that's a great car! When we did performance delivery of my wife's X3, the Marriott had a 650 GC as their kick around run about car (to take me to starbucks before we got my wife's car. I like the GC almost as much as my 550i M. Even though I'm trading it for my M3...

Congrats though!

Carpe Diem!

Actually, a win-win. My wife was not thrilled about the M4, I've always liked the 6 GCs, but didn't want to pay the price of admission. I ended up with a sweet car and she's happy even though I spent more money, great outcome!

Post pics/reviews of the M4 though, can't wait to see some of these unicorns in action!!
