There was a dealer in Montreal that already took them back in November 2013. As the car won't be a limited production like the 1M I won't do it and probably buy it at the end of it production cycle.

Waiting to see what the MSRP will be - the Cayman has me very interested as well but with the options I'd want even the base version goes north of $70k and the S is up around $84 - a bit rich for my blood. I am hoping we see a nicely equipped M2 at about $58K.

I hope your right at $58k, but I doubt it. The C$ is depreciating badly. A usa base price of US$52k translates into C$64k! today and the C$ continues to loose value.

Not vs euro as bmw is euro. The euro has collapsed in value vs usd but bmw actually rose prices there by a small bit.

Remember that the M3/4 in Canda comes with more equipment as standard, so depending on what your needs are you might not pay as much as you'd think. I think if we can have a 60k base price we should be happy. That's pretty much half way between the M235i and the M4

Good luck with that. I just saw a $63,000 M235. M2 will probably start at $60,000.

I doubt that will play much of a role in MSRP decision. Cars have always been less expensive in USA and they arent going to adjust all of their prices . I bet It will probably fit in between M235 and M4 as mentioned above.
