BMW Remote

Since the delivery of my car (mid-april) I can't connect to the MyBmw app on my iPhone. You are supposed to use your email address and the pin code setup with BMW assistance.

However it doesn't work.

I contacted BMW assistance many times and I was told they are still trying to fix my issue...

Does this app work for you?

Worked fine for me. Bit of a delay but otherwise great. If I am planning to go somewhere I always email the location to the car ahead of time. Way easier to use the iPhone than fiddle with idrive.

It works now! I had to ask my dealership to do a new service agreement for the car.

Is there any reason we can't activate ventilation from the remote?

do you havw to have a certain package to use the BMW APP i don't have the tech package.

I don't know...but I assume it's that it's not enabled in the US. They talk about this all over the place, but I have yet to find anyone that has this working from the Remote app. The only thing you can do is set the ventilation timer in iDrive, which is NOT just as good.

Works on my remote app, for some reason US cars have it disabled and Canada and ROW it works.

The option doesn't even appear in the US app. Now I wonder....what if I got a hold of the CA version and logged into my US account??

Update: That would probably work because I just downloaded the Remote App on Android and it has the "Precondition" option. So it appears to be just an iOS App deficiency.

Ya i went and changed the appstore location to canada and downloaded the iphone app but it didn't show any extra feature from the US version :-(
