Amazing brakes ! Car saved me !
So I'm heading back from work with my son in the rear seat. I'm in the left-most lane on a 4 lane road. Roughly 50 feet ahead, I see a misubishi spider trying to enter the right most lane from a parking lot. Right lanes were clear. He cuts across 3 lanes and by the time I know it he was cutting into my lane at like a 45 degree angle. He was talking on his freaggin cell phone too. I slammed the brakes and the car just came to an almost instant halt. I mean it just stopped !! I was shaking as it was a really close call but I was amazed at how good the brakes in this car are. I love this car !!! It saved me from a crash today.

I love how when you take your foot of the the gas really quick and put it on the brakes the pads have been moved closer to the rotors so they instantly contact as soon as you hit the brakes. Neat little feature on the BMW.

I thought the brakes on my Evo,s were great (which they were). But i find the ones on my 335i coupe even better.I didnt think after owning the Evo,s that braking could be any better unless they were big buck carbon fiber rotors you get on the big money exotics.

Glad to hear you avoided the accident. Don't you just love all the morons out there. I would have followed him home....

If he hadn't stopped in time; chances are the other guy would have gotten the ticket. He did make a illegal lane change across 3 lanes of traffic. Same thing happened to me two cars ago (except I hit the woman), cop came down on her real hard.

Yup, I've had a few quick stops, too. The brakes on this car are damn good for a sedan.

They both have fairly large brakes, but the 335i are slightly larger. Neither can fit smaller than 17" wheels because of the brake size. 60-0 stopping distance is essentially the same for both. The 325i and 328i have smaller brakes (and can wear 16" wheels as a result), but have a similar 60-0 stopping distance as the 330i and 335i.
