Please help!!!!!

Hey guys, I have an 08 135i with 68,577 miles on it.
Mods:
Rb Turbos (since 64,838)
Spec stage 2+ smfw (64,838)
Vrsf dp's and 7inch
Er cp with hks
Afe dci

Problem: misfire cyl 1

What I have done to try and fix it:

From 65k I replaced the Bosch plugs (don't know the gap)
Walnut blast, 3 new injectors (bank1),All new coils. Walbro 255 inline booster, brand new hpfp. Both fuel pressures are excellent. LPFP sensor. Ngk's yesterday, gapped at .22
When I drive under heavy load there is a clicking noise. I can accelerate through 2nd no problem and it's fast as hell. But say I put it in 4th going 35 and try to build boost (heavy load) and there a clicking noise. If it doesn't misfire. The misfires have been haunting me for months. I have everything I have into the car and don't want to get rid of it. Please help I am in desperate need.

Check my thread. Swap the injectors 1/2 around and see if the misfire follows.

My shop has done that extensively. Swapped coils and plugs. Dave Markert *Markert Motorworks* does all the work and they are extremely smart. I have full faith in them.

Can you post a log for us? What are you using to tune the car?

I wouldn't recommend going WOT in 4th gear @ 35 MPH, you're putting a lot of unnecessary strain the engine and your clutch.

It's not wot. 2.5k and 5-8 psi. Just trying to replicate the problem for someone in the car that works for the shop

This and I would do it just to make sure and piece of mind. I mean you have nothing to lose if you swap and problem still persist then you're in the same spot but if it follows you just solved it.

I need something as far left field as possible. He has known it's not anything anyone has been saying for months. On n54tech or anywhere. He's talked to wedge, terry, rob at Cobb. Everyone that knows anything, he's talked to.

run a leakdown on it. If it isn't fuel or spark it should help you narrow down the problem.

It used to happen on e40 on bosch's not on pump. Then eventually would. Misfire cyl 1 and the plug would be fouled. Put ngk's in and it does it on pump so I haven't put any e85 in.

I've seen exhaust leaks cause misfires before...? That might explain your "ticking" noise.

Leak down. If you don't want to play swap that part just run the diagnostics. You already said you've pretty much ruled out fuel and spark. That leaves compression leaks or coolant/oil ingestion. A properly performed leak down test will tell you where to start looking.

Compression check and leak down are two different things. Also what do they consider good compression. How much experience does this shop have with tuned cars. Turbo cars and misfires are nothing new.

Idk the compression numbers but I know it's fine. And the leakdown didn't get them anywhere. So supposedly Dave will be pulling the cams Monday. He said nothing looked suspect under the valve cover. The is getting out of hand.
