For those of you w/ Wagner FMIC… Pretty sure its same as Mech Tuning..
So I was reading all about FMIC's etc.. and bought the Mech tuning, because they have dyno charts with high claims and IAT temps that are drastically reduced. So i buy the intercooler, fits great, looks great but seriously its the same damn thing as a Wagner Tuning FMIC that sells for like $690. I think this is like my exhaust where the part is rebranded numerous times and priced a lot differently.
Its bar and place identical to wagner tuning and I'm pretty sure it came from the same manufacturing plant…Look up the Wagner... So heres the pics andyou decide.. And BTW if you want an awesome FMIC with lifetime warranty on welds and product go order you one of these today from Mech…. www.mechtuning.com $499 Onto the pictures…

Welcome to many months ago lol. I was virtually 98% sure that was the case but since I have no proof I refrain from public speculation (until now). Helix outright stated the Wagner was of suspect quality (siting puddle welds, two cores welded together opposed to theirs being a true step, painted to cover flaws...other stuff I can't remember etc).
I don't point any of that out to say the Wagner is bad just to that its overpriced based on manufacturing processes alone. Its not AMS quality for the same money. PS: the lifetime warranty is worthless. They'll just change names and be another company by the time they've been out long enough utilize it. |

Yep. Direct fit, from my understanding it does the job and quite sure they are the same fucking thing, it outrages me people rebrand everything and sell for hundreds more..

That's how Chinese manufacturing works if your not REAL selective. You source Chinese production to save $$ and offer extremely reasonable prices. A year or two later same Chinese factory you sourced to manufacture YOUR product is selling your exclusive or personally designed product to 5 different people with a different cast logo. Seen this happen with countless intercoolers and exhaust products for various makes. I'm sure Wagner has not been happy since these came out. Luckily they have like four different versions and only this one has been pirated.

It actually isn't the same fin pack but they obviously copied the end tanks. We replaced one with our 7" a while back @ the shop and I compared it to a Wagner I had in stock, it's definitely not the same manufacturer.

I tried to but they said there is no way they can sell it for $350 shipped. $450 is the best they could do.
