Can't Get Screws Out Of My Eyebrows!

So I got hold of some black gloss grills and moustache/Eyebrows (whatever you want to call them!?). I set to work on the first one by taking the three screws out underneath. 'Ohhhh this looks good so far' I thought to myself.

So I start screwing the other side out and two of the screws just turn, turn, turn and turn some more. I tried applying some pressure from the top, then the bottom until my hands started to hurt so much and I just couldn't get the damn screw out.

I feel like an idiot having to take this to a garage over something so simple but am I stuck with silver ones or does anyone have any tips to get this fixed myself??

I have no experience with this personally, but is it possible that they are clips?

Perhaps they just unscrew a bit to release the clip, then you pull them out?

Assuming you're speaking of the upper grilles that E90s have attached to the hood?

I had the same problem. Took a small screw driver and jammed it between the chrome top and black bottom and into the socket. That created enough pressure and I was able to unscrew the screw at that point.

Very common, I had to just jam it out (without damaging the paint)

Were you able to get it off? I'm having the same problem trying to remove one of the 6 screws. I tried jamming a small screwdriver in there but it didn't help.

I think the problem is that there are small brass inserts attached to the plastic of the eyebrow that the screws screw into and they must be glued to the plastic. I bet what is happening is that the glue let go and the insert is just turning in the hole with the screw.

Have I crap. Feel like i've tried everything logical besides trying to snap the damn thing! One side comes off no problem at all but two of the screws on the other side just spin and spin. Not really sure what else to try! Had two of us applying pressure whilst the other person turned the screw and still nothing. Tried ramming the screwdriver in as best I can and again, nothing.

Let me know how you get on and if you find any magic solution to the problem!!

I gave up and just painted it still on the car (using plasti dip). I found a bunch of other posts on this subject but none of the methods worked for mine.
