Exhaust Tip Question

I have a completely stock exhaust; yet I want a more aggressive look.
I want to buy and weld on exhaust tips, while keeping the stock mufflers. What size tips can I put on my 2007 335i e92 pre-lci

I typically see people install tips in the 3.5 inch to 4 inch range. Check out cyba, they have some pretty nice tips.

I have Magnaflow exhaust tips welded on my PE. Specs on the exhaust tips are 2.5" inlet, 5" length, and 4" outlet. I'll try to post pics later.

I have the Cyba 3.8 stainless which I think leaves just enough room, 4.0 is a squeeze

Changing out the tip does not affect the sound whatsoever. Now the PE exhaust does but I don't think it's worth the money.
