Multiple Tunes for N54 335i

I am looking to add a tune to my car (currently running a JB+). This is a list I compiled searching forums and websites and is by no way complete.

Some of these tunes are well known, others I stumbled upon and found almost no information about them. A couple of these are available via Amazon as well; I did not search EBay.

All numbers are assumed crank horse power, unless otherwise noted, as found on websites.

Prices are as advertised on the main site when possible, some can be found cheaper.

Posted numbers are as found via advertising as to what they claim, I understand that they can be low in some cases (JB4 for example).

Some flash tunes offer multiple stages for a single price but I only posted what was advertised (I hear ESS has a stage 3 & 4 but their website only had stage 1 & 2 on it).

Most flash tunes posted are for stage 1 or on stock cars. Some offer tunes for FMIC or DP upgrades, which would change the output numbers.

Please use this list to research tunes for yourself to see what fits you best for your needs. HP and TQ alone don’t fully describe each tune.

I did include a couple European tunes, not sure if they are available in the states.

Feel free to add a tune or piggyback I missed along with prices and claimed gains.

Love my Cobb AP. I had the Openflash Tablet and it was great apart from the lack of tuning support. If you know what you're doing with tuning then the tablet is fine for just about any build. If you would prefer to leave tuning to the professionals, PTF can work with the Cobb to make your car really fly regardless of your setup.

Since I'm planning ST in the future, the Cobb was the only option for long term that I wouldn't have to really stress over.

Long story short, Cobb FTW.

I have 1 guy at work with a Cobb and another with the JB3. They both have only good things to say. I was thinking about trying something different.

I would rather go with something that's proven and reliable than try to be different. I like my cobb tune

I second the JB4 + backend flash. You get the best of both worlds. The flash for the fuel remapping and the piggyback for on the fly boost control and meth handling.

What backend flash should one use if they have jb4/dp/ic/cp and may eventually do an inline pump to run an e85 mix for dyno/drag every now and then?

Before I get a tune beyond my JB+ I am looking to add an oil cooler since mine didn't come with one and I live in the South, it gets hot (90+ today). A couple of short sprints on my way home (45 miles one way) and the car runs about 20F hotter most of the way home. I will do more research but I am pretty sure it'll be Cobb w/ E-tune, JB4 or Procede. I'd like to learn about each one first. Like how does the JB4 or Procede autotune work. I know the info is out there, I haven't had time to look for it yet. I don't plan on adding Meth but I do live near a E85 station (30 min away...). Mostly just looking for a solid, reliable tune for my daily driver....
My next research project will be a FMIC. So far I think I want a 5" due to less pressure loss and easier fit.

Can go BMS Backend flash + JB4 G5 ISO. Thats what i go and its a fantastic experience. Finally just dumped in a tank of 109 octane and Map 7 with E85 backend flash which is what Terry recommended instead of the Race flash was a real kick in the pants!
The backend flash really helped out with the fuelling and it runs beautifully all the time now. I ran cobb by itself for a while but, it just didn't seem as strong on Stage 2 Agressive+ as JB4 Map 5 or Map 2. I run Map 5 all the time now and its great on 94 octane. I highly recommend BMS Backend flash + JB4. But thats just my experience.

I'm a Cobb AP man.
Love the ability to flash and remove for diagnostics without going under the hood. YMMV

Just food for thought, a friend recently dyno'd his FBO 335i with a JB4 (no back end flash) on map 5 with 93 and was pulling dangerously lean AFR's. IMO, JB4 shouldn't be used without the back end flash.

Obvious lack of important free flash program thousands have been using noted.
