So I can't tell what kind or size bike it is but I have a bike also.
Modern 750cc motorcycles have about 130hp stock in a package with a rider that weighs about 700lbs. That's with a heavy rider and a heavy bike. The number is actually about 650 but I'll say 700lbs. So 700/133 = 5.26lbs/hp BMW 335i is about 3600lbs. Assuming you have 450hp. 3600/450 = 8lbs/hp That is a huge difference. Unless you are FBO with stage2 snails, leave big bikes alone. It only get's worse when you talk about litre bikes. R1 horsepower is 175hp +/- Hyabusa horsepower is ~190hp BMW S1000R ~190hp Ducati 899 ~148hp Ducati 1199 ~195hp These are stock numbers. So unless you get riders that don't ride well it's hard to beat a bike in a car. Almost impossible to beat an open class liter bike in a car. Need more data on this video.

Nice pull. Car must be a beast at those speeds. You need to find a Supra with around 700rhwp. I bet it would be a fun race.

What kind of a bike was it?
The difference between a 600, 750 and 1000 can be night and day. Then you also have to factor in the driver mod as well as the riders weight. Me and a few buddies all have 750's and the differences we see in runs is simply because our weight difference. By no accident our buddy who weighs 130lbs soaking wet destroys us on the same bike LOL I also have a couple friends with 1000's but they tip the scales at over 230lbs and we can keep up with them no problem on our 750. It's amazing how much the weight effects the rider but there is also a lot of room when you don't have a rider who knows his bike and knows how to make a clean/optimum run. |
