Another Single Turbo SWFL Build
Hey guys, I'm sure many of you may recognize me from "the other forum" but I have recently started becoming a bit more active over here and probably will be more so in the future....sooo here's my build thread!
Right now for tuning I will be using JB4 with BB Flash backend, once PTF is offering some pro-tunes for ST's I may give them a try just to compare. So here's the list of what's going in/on the car. - Turbo- Forced Performance HTA3586r with V-band in and out, .82 A/R DBB, billet wheel, ceramic coated turbine housing - Wastegate- Tial MVR 44mm -All fabrication including custom manifold, dump tube, intake tubing, charge piping, (using my existing ETS charge-piping from FMIC outlet to throttle body) wastegate, etc. by Proven Power. The manifold is going to be jigged not sure what type of offering the shop plans on doing, but he did say he wants to be ready to do more in the future. (my car is #2 , Ak335i was #1 ). - Proven Power will also be doing custom downpipe and connection to mid-pipes utilizing my Active Autowerke dual exhaust. - Mishimoto Transmission Cooler with AN Dash -8 connections upgraded to Dash 10 by Proven Power with all SS lines and black SS fittings - PTF engine mounts -ECS Tuning transmission mounts -Alpina TCU Flash (wouldn't mind someone helping me setup my laptop or someone local to Florida that would take cash in exchange for the trip to the shop to do the flash for me) - Oil filter housing thermostat delete plate with all SS lines - Upgraded transmission oil lines to SS - Upgrading meth injection lines to stainless steel, installing two bungs in chargepipe, and doing a third bung/nozzle pre-intercooler - Doing custom intake duct through front bumper - Upgrade MAP sensor and boost solenoid utilizing FFtec PNP harness on the MAC solenoid and FFtec bracket - Team MFactory Limited Slip Differential - Custom fab aluminum waterneck and watertube - Relocate power steering and coolant reservoirs - Bore out inlet on fuel rail and remove screen on HPFP - Walbro 255 inline LPFP upgrade - Cobb ETS 7" FMIC (previously installed by me) - Rebuilt transmission by nizpro- Australia And here's some "non-performance" stuff also changing - Vorsteiner like vented carbon fiber hood - M3 style front bumper with carbon fiber lip - M3 style sideskirts - Carbon fiber rear spoiler (previously installed by me) - BC Forged 2-piece HB04 wheels 18" Car is almost done, I will hopefully be picking up Saturday and will spend a good amount of the day tuning, doing some street pulls, some dyno pulls, and as long as all goes to plan hit the 1/4 track saturday night. And finally the good stuff....pictures! Here's what the car looked like on the way in. Had actually just purchased the wheels but have since sold them and the previously mentioned forged 18's will be on it soon And then some pics of the "tear down"

Time to fab up wastegate transition and get her mounted! (no pics but getting ceramic coated as well)
Downpipe! (also getting coated but no pics yet) Also was able to have the shop test fit the new M3 style front bumper. Got the air duct and everything figured out, just need to paint and re-install once I get the car back from the shop. Will also do side skirts at the same time. THAT'S IT FOR NOW! WILL HAVE MUCH MORE TO POST AFTER PICKUP!

pretty manifold but i think you MIGHT have problems with all those rubber couples blowing off, especially the one connecting to the TB...hopefully you don't, but its something to keep in mind
need to sell those vossen tho and put something lighter in weight.

Here's what's going on there now...18's pretty stoked about the exterior of the car as well. Major facelift between wheels, front bumper, front lip, sideskirts, and hood.

Will test out the effectiveness soon, but I think it will make a big difference, on top of the cooling element it also adds decent capacity. http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...ler/ES1892559/

I'm curious about your trans cooler as well...did you end up bypassing the factory piece or did you splice into the lines after that piece? |

Of all of the build the trans cooler gets the most props! LOL
I can't wait to see this thing up and running though. Glad to see you got everything ceramic coated too. Last edited by Jeff@TopGearSolutions; 05-02-2014 at 04:37 PM.. |
