Does anyone else give their car a name...?
So may be alone on this but all my cars have had a name.
The latest addition to the family will be Bernard the F31 335d. In the past I have had Ella Bella Boo, big Alf, little Alf, Peter, Mary, Godfrey, Golly, Pedro and Ronnie. Anyone else have a similar strange habit of giving their cars a name? |

Never named cars. It's a bit odd.

My car has only had names when the gearbox whined, the steering/suspension clonked, the satnav didn't work, when it went into limp-home mode (twice)... oh and the four punctures, and in each case the name ended with "****ing b*stard"!
Not even my missus names cars, this is a new phenomenon for me. Is this a north of the border thing?

IF for some bizarre reason you do name a car, then you must give it a girls name (if a guy).
As it sounds ok saying you are taking Karen around the block for a quick thrashing and check out her flashing head lights. Than if you have called it George! |

Well ours is brown and German so Brunhilde! And yes I know she is from nordic mythology but she stars in the Ring Cycle so a bit German.
When we selected brown (Sparkling Bronze in Marketing speak), lady wife said we could only have that colour so long as I did not call it the Turd |
