Make sure you have any codes etc at hand, always a pain.

Check pressures are all ok.

Give it a good wax and clean.

I usually make sure catches etc lubed but yours is new so should be fine.

I have routinely left my car 6 months 8 months.

The main thing when you get back is to check fluids are all ok etc before starting car. Re do your tyres.
Remember to put your air con on as well.

Definitely don't blast it when you get back, seen plenty lads go haring off and blow a hose etc.

3 months is not long so should not be any real problems.

Oh and road tax, mot, make sure it's still in date on your return (not for you, just general point, again seen people fall for that before lol.

Or just drop it at my house and I'll 'look after it' for you.

Thought about BMW's battery charger/conditioner ( under 'Accessories' on their web site). My son bought me one as a present a while ago, if you have the facility to do so could leave it 'hooked up' whilst you're away?
Having said that my E92 335i was left for 10 weeks in 2010 ( also my wife's MK5 GTi ) whilst we were abroad and both started without any drama whatsoever when we returned home, both cars were garaged throughout our absence which may well have made a big difference.
Had to get my daughter to 'SORN' mine though as VEL ran out whilst we were away!

Make sure the surroundings is ventilated... My brother left his car for a year in a garage, got back and found the damp and mould has taken it over...

Leave the window slightly open

I usually leave an industrial bag of silca desiccant in the car and boot.

Works wonders, then again my poor car is used to being left on its own for months.
