330d M Sport with Spacers Fitted

Hi all, still not sure what to do about the alloys (keep the current 19's or go for 20's) either way I decided Spacers would improve the look and so had them fitted last week.

15mm rear and 12mm front, thanks to CA International for the advice and Falkland Performance Centre for the install (didn't want to attempt this myself!).

I think they look spot on, seem almost perfectly level with the wheel arch, but more reason for me to avoid crashing into any pot holes just in case.

Pictures are from an iPhone so not great, one day I'll learn how to take pictures from a proper camera but until then here you go:

Looks good!

So is it just for looks or is there an improvement in handling?

Also do the wheels hit the arches on speed humps etc?

Looking good mate. I was contemplating a black boot lip spoiler and the side skirts, but have decided not to bother.

Surely this compromises the chassis?
Otherwise why do BMW not send them out from the factory that way?

I did it to improve the looks, however it is supposed to help with cornering at speed if you track race your car (which I don't) so I doubt I'll be pushing it enough to notice.

Yes you have to use either extended bolts or go for the more expensive stud conversion kit, I went with the latter as they are more secure and make changing the wheel easier, bolts look much nicer also.

Yes I'll be keeping an eye on that, I'd be concerned about getting stone chips around the arches but I don't think that will happen.

I wonder if this would affect getting the wheel alignment checked/adjusted?

Not sure to be honest, but when showing them off to my business partner we noticed that the wheels on his merc where already level with the wheel arches and he is not into customising anything (being a merc driver!). I read somewhere that the wheels are set inside the arches to allow for the fitting of snow chains so I'm going with that excuse, also can't be any different to fitting wider after market alloys or alloys with different offsets?

Apparently not, only if you change the suspension setup (coilovers, lowering etc..) combined with spacers would affect alignment, but the setup I installed apparently doesn't affect it. However, it's an easy mod so if it looks like I'm going to have problems down the line I can easily get them off again, but so far all seems well.

Loving it!

similar stance to this U.S. on F30 post car i like (below)

not enough F30's in the UK that really stand out from the crowd imo.
every man and his dog seems to have them in my area now, more common than mondeos

in the UK we seem to be anti any modification over here...
where as in the states they go for full custom tints, drops, rims, exhausts, the lot! and all the guys on their forums highly rate them.

Only because I'm looking to buy one. Are those OEM's?

Car looks fantastic although to be honest I couldn't see any difference with the spacers on. I'm guessing it probably makes it a little easier to kerb the car if the wheels are jutting out a little more?

Never mind kicking up stones to damage his own car, what about those who are alongside or behind him? Lethal.
