F30/F32 Retro fit surround view/reverse camera

Hi guys, after a few weeks of owning my new 420d M sport, I realised I should have specd it up a bit more.

Does anyone know of any reverse cameras or surround view systems that can be retrofitted, I have the Pro Nav media pack.

Also, if these systems are easy to instal, I'm based in south East london so if there is any installers/coders out there I would love to hear from you and see what can be unlocked on my system as well.

Thanks

Reverse camera retrofit is possible, but surround view would be massively expensive! You'd need a new front bumper for the side view cameras and new wing mirrors for the side ground cameras, and god knows what else!

I'm also in SE London and my previous F10 520d M Sport did not have a reverse camera and I really missed it given the size of the F10. I enquired about retrofit at a dealer and, IMHO, it was prohibitively expensive. It actually worked out better to change cars, although I did want a smaller car with a bigger engine, and I found a F30 330d M Sport with a massive spec which included surround-view which is brilliant along with the HUD.

Retrofit of surround-view will be monumentally expensive as the additional cameras are housed in the wing mirrors and front bumper.

Some people in Asia have done the surround view retrofit on the F10 - http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/elebest...-f-series.html

You're probably looked at the best part of £1,000 alone just for a new, primed/prepped front bumper (although I imagine they could be drilled with the existing bumper - it looks like that from the above retrofit). Control unit for surround view is about £330, the bumper cameras £250 and the top view cameras another £250.

The only BMW approved retrofits are rear/front PDC and the newish advanced car eye (recording cameras in the front/rear windscreens).

I think it's only the 316d ES that doesn't have rear PDC as standard!
