Yeah, the car definitely eats up the wheels. I wish I could do 20"s, but too bad we have really bad roads and I cannot afford to run 20" due to imminent flats and dents to the wheels (and the feeling of endless butt torture).
FYI, I did not oversize the tires. The overall diameter is actually about 2% smaller than OEM. the only thing that was "oversized" is the width of the tire. Didn't lower anything either. Stock GT M-Sport suspension. |

I thought the F34 used the same stock size as the F30 - 225/40R19 and 255/35R19, and if you then use 235/40 and 275/35 the tire diameter increases 1.2% at the front and 1.9% at the back and the side wall is 4mm higher at the front and 6mm higher in the rear - thus making them bigger and "oversized" and making the wheels look smaller. But after your comment now I looked it up and the F34 used higher sidewalls on the OEM wheels so I was wrong. |

Hey Rossifumi, no sweat, man! It's all good. I was really confused at first too, before getting my F34, since some catalogs have it using the same size wheels as the F30s. But yeah, they're bigger wheels for sure.
I would love to have 20" rims. And think would look better. Just too impractical where I live, unfortunately. Edit to add: Anecdotally, my buddy had 19" M5 reps on his E90. Looked great! but after a year, he could not wait to get back in 18" wheels… the harshness and the number of flats and blowouts he got from our roads just rendered 19" wheel impractical for him… Fast-forward to me, since I have a larger wheel diameter, I can afford to have 19" wheels and keep the same tire height as his 18" wheels on an E90. Any shorter on the tire height, I'm just looking for trouble in terms of pot holes, flats, and dented rims… sad… but when I move to a city with better roads, I'll look at 20's. (FYI, my OEM staggered 18" 400M's are my winters, wearing Blizzaks LM-32's) Last edited by lmcq784; 04-13-2014 at 12:15 PM.. |

New Photos with 19" M590
As promised, got out today and grabbed a few pictures.
Sorry, haven't had a chance to get a car wash… it's a little dirty, and the wheels are filthy! But, I hope you guys can enjoy the photos none-the-less |

Car looks great! I just ordered my new rims and hour ago. I am trying to decide on tire size right now. Cannot wait to get them on. I will try and post pics when I get them on if I can figure out how to do it. I have been waiting for these pictures for a couple of weeks! Nice backdrop too looks like a professional took them!
