Newbie questions

Hi all. Been researching on this site for a while, about to buy a F30 320d alpine white m sport with m sport plus and nav on a 63 plate with 3k on clock, dealer wants 25k.... Is this a good price you reckon?

I've got mazda 6 sport at moment, but car allowance allows me to get one of these now

So apart from the price vs spec question, is there anything I can get thrown in to the deal? I was thinking maybe service package, connected drive, maps upgrade etc... Do they offer these as deal sweeteners?

Cheers appreciate any advice, never spent this much on a car and a little nervous

I'd snap there hand off £25k for that spec and mileage is a good price. I'd maybe try and get them to throw the service pack in

That sounds like a good price to me as a 320d m sport plus with nav would have a lot of options. And a new one would be 34.5k (presuming navigation is business) so you're getting almost £10k off the list price and it doesn't have that many miles on it.

As always it's worth asking to see if you can bring the price down but even at current price I personally think it's a good deal.

I got almost identical spec with adaptive susp new for just over 30,000 mate, I would be quite tempted at that offer if I was you.

Cheers all that makes me feel better yes it's advanced business nav and the car was a demonstrator. Can't really figure out what's advanced about it one more thing is it a single slot CD player?

Pretty sure it will be 'single slot' CD player, most are nowadays and if the F30 is the sane as the F32 in that department there will not be any provision for a CD changer to plug in to it. Got USB though so just put your music on a flash drive and play through the i-drive.

At the very least get the nav updated. It doesn't cost the dealer anything, pure margin. You want 2014-1 maps.

Yes, just go into nav from I drive and keep clicking right and you'll see the map version. It will probably show 2013-2 or 2013-1. The dealer will claim that is the latest, but it isn't. Again, it costs them nothing to upgrade it.

Me again, ok I missed out on the last deal as I couldn't sell my car fast enough. I'm now call-less and the dealer (stratstone) has another one, pretty much same spec/mileage, so I'm all in this time, going on sat for a look/buy it.

Only thing is, it's a different nav? This haa glass screen this time, car is registered sept 13. Does this mean it's nbt, and therefore if can code in ebt? Is this a newer or older type nav, bit confused... Guess I will see when I get there but giddy and can't wait

So I finally bought one, thank god. Pick it up on Friday. Can't wait to have some fun over bank holiday. It's an ex demo car with 3k on clock, you reckon it's safe to put my foot down, or run it in a little more?

Thanks for all the help, sooooo excited.

Congrats. Foot down, as a demo won't have been run in, people will have just blasted it from day one as that's the point of a test drive.

I missed out on that one found another for 26k pretty much same spec, will post some pics at weekend, but you've all probably seen it already

The salesman told me I'm the only person he knows in the last year to negotiate a cash discount, it's unheard of at stratstone apparently?

Sounds like you got a good deal.

I picked up an ex-demo 63-plate EBII 320D with M Sport plus and Pro Nav for a 26.9 last week, but it had 12k miles.

I picked mine up last Thursday then was forced to go on "holiday" on Friday! I've spent the entire week browsing the forums and ordering anything on eBay that has F30 in the title...

Enjoy!
