Very nice. What spec did you decide on? Hopefully 11 mpg won't be your average?

That's normal, given they've only been maneuvering it around and maybe had it sat ticking over. My 330d said something like 18mpg when I picked it up. Just reset and forget!
Looks lovely by the way. |

Lovely car, enjoy !!!! I bet you will despite 11mpg . I thought I can see more 4 series on the road but literally I have seen one or two in the UK but not a single one on my trip in Europe, even in Germany. Strange

yes it was ticking over a lot at the dealers, it went all the way up to 13mpg by the time I got home lol
I added most things, clearly no sun roof or sun protected glass, didn't bother with LED lights or park assist |

That looks great. There's always something special about seeing a car with wheelbarrow exhausts.
Enjoy your new car.

Looks gorgeous! Many congratulations! Finally someone else with an F32 with the proper lump under the bonnet running on the fuel of the Gods! We're in the minority so we need to stick together!
No offence to all you out there with oil burners running on the fuel of the Devil! Although I have to admit BMW diesels are awesome these days, in my self-employed capacity I regularly drive both BMW diesels and Merc diesels and the latter sound like bloody tractors half the time compared to BMWs, and we're talking new or nearly new cars here. |

So how does it compare to your 335d? Or I guess its too early to tell...
Are you missing that lovely low down torque yet?

It just feels so much lighter, but I have VSS on this unlike the 335d so maybe that makes a big difference? And it stops a lot better with the same brakes, no idea why it would make that much difference, unless the diesel engine or x drive make it harder to stop?
It only has 20 miles on it so I've not even gone over 3k rpm, but its so quiet half the time I have to check its still running. It still pulls nicely at low revs, but clearly not like the 335d, I don't regret going back to petrol though, the 335d sounded nice for a diesel, but this sounds and feels so much smoother and refined, and the insurance dropped which is always nice even if the tax is more I don't do many miles so I think petrol was always a better option, I only wish I worked that out in the first place as I've lost a fair amount of money buying 2 cars in 3 months lol |
