Stock brakes

Quick question- are the stock brakes on m3/4 same calipers (pistons) and pads as the option 2NH M sport brakes on f30/32/m235i?

Obviously, I know the rotors are different but the pix I've seen so far look same to me.

This topic has been discussed heavily elsewhere in other threads. If you perform a search you'll find lots of info.

The standard calipers (Brembo 4-piston fixed front, 2-piston fixed rear) on the F80/F82 are the same calipers utilized in the F30 "M Performance Brake(s) Kit" (which also comes with dimpled/slotted rotors) and are the same calipers now available via the "M Sport Brake(s)" ("smooth" rotors) option.

Does the BMW M3/M4 use the same pads? Hoping someone here works at BMW parts/service could find out. It'll be nice if i could order pads before ordering the car.

Why would you want to order pads before ordering the car?

Brake pads are covered in the warranty, at least for US buyers. Who knows what enhancements might be around in 4-years, or 50K miles...I'd wait unless there were some weird extenuating circumstances.
