Smile My 335dx at dealers

Well, was just at the dealers as the car was delivered.

It looked amazing even though it obviously hasn't been prepped whatsoever.

Looking forward to a leisurely hand-over on Tuesday - it is going to be a long weekend

One thing I did notice is RF's were Goodyear and not Pirelli's which I thought were the standard?

Congratulations on imminent arrival.
So no sleep Monday.

Pass on the tyres, I would imagine they likely have a couple brands and depends on what is in stock or picked for BOM. Could just be luck of the draw.

I noticed that too. Picking up my 330D from TRL on Wednesday and they sent me a video tour of the car which was nice. I'm sure I can make out the word 'Eagle' on the tyre so that would be the Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 i'm guessing.

Anyone with these RF's have an opinion?

I have the non run flats on other car and like them, decent grip all weather including some snow, they do wear a bit quick ( May just be me though).

Rim protector on mine stick out a good bit, so some alloy protection.

Yep 330d xdrive or sdrive could be abbreviated to that, but all 335d's are xdrive so no need!

I think you'd find Bridgestone S001s are the most common. They can be either of the other two as well - I'll swop you for my S001s if you want !!!!!!

I got S001's, would have preferred Pirellis but hey ho, at least the S001's are a massive improvement over the woeful RE050A rfts!

I found that the RE050A's on my E90 gripped well but the sidewalls were so rigid my dentist loved them!

Yep they were solid, and made the steering really heavy, and car would follow the tracks in the road! Crap!

The RE050A's on my old E90's really spoilt a great car.
It was until I had non run flat Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 fitted that I realised it wasnt the car that was the problem - but the tyres!! Was like night and day and improved the car in every way, ie ride, handling, steering. Made it a much better drive.

Would consider swapping out the run flats on my F30 when the time comes to non run flats as think there is still room for improvement, even on these better run flats.

Did you go for alloy gater rim protection? Are they any good?

I think Brigand is referring to the rim protector built into the tyre. The tyre wall flares out a bit at the bead so the edge of the alloy is protected.

+1000. They were horrid; wore terribly on the inside too. Swapped for non-RFT's after 8k. The S001's are miles better - I'll probably replace with the same or the Goodyears

Goodyear eagles on mine, no complaints.
Noticed your car's an X-drive too, and the other's who've posted (with bridgestones) are mostly S-Drive, so guessing tyres are "matched"?
