Why? I actually think it looks so cool. If there was a pop-up in the shape of a high-kick performance spoiler that would be awesome!
The new GTs come with active rear spoiler.

It would require a new boot, and some kind of add on electronics to sense when the vehicle is above a given MPH to activate the spoiler. If someone ever did make such an aftermarket piece the price would easily exceed 5k.

The S5 guys buy RS5 trunks that have a spoiler that deploy. I would say its kind of cool, but at a very overrated kind of way for these types of cars.

How about bullet-proof one that pops up at the push of a button, and also dispenses an oil slick or tire spike balls.
