135i wheels fit on M235i??

Does anyone know if 135i Wheels will fit on the M235i?
I have the Sport Edition KM11 wheels for winter on my 135i and hoping to just keep them for the M235i

I have the exact same winter wheel setup for my 135i.

Called TireRack to see if they had any information on it. The adviser said he would check with his manager. Called me back to say that they would *not* fit because of brake caliper clearance issues. Mine were 17 inch wheels.

How did you like those? Was hoping to get that or something very similar for mine in the fall. Had some Sport Edition rims for my S4 a long time ago, vaguely remember being pretty happy with them.

Did you happen to ask about 18"? Would assume the 17" wouldn't fit but hoping the 18" will.

Sorry, didn't ask about 18" size.

I'm going to try and put the my KM11s on the 235i when it arrives. I'm hoping I'll luck out and that TireRack just has incomplete/incorrect information at this point because the car is so new.

Highly possible, I am just hoping some sort of SE will work. I want to stick with that price point and know those are pretty good. Not really a budget problem, per se, but I need something that's borderline disposable with the Chicago roads as bad as they are.

Are the M235i brakes that much bigger then the 135i with Msport? I have Msport on my 135i and KM11 fit fine. I am going to try and get my dealer to test fit them and see if they fit. I'm having a hard time believing this.

That's what I'm thinking. The 6 pot calipers on the 135i look bigger than the 4 pots on the 235.

Yea exactly. I hope this weekend I can get up to the dealer and try this out.

That would be great to find out, please let us know. I would be very happy if I could run a 17" setup for winter.

By the looks of it the 135i Brake caliper definitely looks larger.
Open the image in a new window as this a large picture and you can see close up on the calipers

Sorry guys, dealer wants to charge an hour to test fit wheels. Anyone who has taken delivery of m235 in the Hartford CT area will let me try the km11 winter tire setup?

I emailed VMR about getting this set of wheels in this or similar fitment:

They responded saying the wheels would not fit. In fact, the only wheels they offer that fit the M235i are the V705's. Huge disappointment.

Just spoke with Gill at Tire Rack, he's their resident 1-series expert. Apparently the 135 stuff should all fit, even the 17" varieties. He said they had loaded the 235 info into their system but it still says to call when I checked the site, not sure when that will be coming online. In any event, to answer the question originally posted the Sport Editions should work. I asked specifically about the KM11 and he said either 18" or 17" would be fine.

Please share you confirmation once you've had a chance to try them out for real. I am probably going KM11s and was told they would work, but on paper versus real world who the hell knows. In any event it's optimistic good news and Gill knows his shit, but someone might have fat fingered a spec in their database, etc. with the car being so new. No substitute for real world.

seeing side by side OMG the 1 is so much better looking! It just looks more German...more like a 2002, more BMW...I think its going to age extremely well

Anyone test out KM11's on the M235i yet? I am so close to getting my car but still hasn't made it to the dealer. But it is in the USA.

Well...someone actually tested the 135i stock rims on a M235i. The rears are fine, the front will hit the caliper, he dinged his caliper test fitting it. So no, not everything that fits the 1 will fit the 2.
