Changes to an order

I have my order in but wanted to make a quick change... What are your views on my thoughts?

Removing:
EBT & Heated Steering Wheel

Adding either:
Surround View (brings monthly's down £3)
HUD (Takes monthly's up £7.50)

Not talking lots of money up or down, but which extra do you think would add the most...

Currently thinking HUD with the Pro Nav and Speed limit display would be used more.

EBT can be coded, so removing makes sense. But I do love my heated wheel...
The HUD gets rave reviews! I wouldn't be so fussed about the surround view.

What's rest of your spec like?

I knew adding msport plus and vis dropped monthly amount did not realise surround view did, however it may have to be with a specific other option.

Yeah I would add the HUD if you have speed limit display and pro media.
It comes down to what monthly you can or want to cough up for.
What engine you going for?

That is what I was thinking... Didn't want to go above what I agreed with the dealer, but £7.50 isn't much when you are talking £560 a month...

335d xDrive Tourer.

335d xDrive Tourer.
I tried the HUD in a 640d when I was deliberating and, for me, it was fantastic and a no-brainer. I went with Speed Limiter display which is also shown in the HUD - in a vain attempt to keep my licence!

As others have said EBT can be coded and I didn't go for Surround View because I don't park anywhere that difficult and after 20 years of driving I think can park pretty good

I have seen a lot of people talk about points and keeping their license, I wonder what the average number of points are for BMW drivers on here...

EBT - I will get coded (BMWSKI has offered some help with this)

And I too am pretty confident with my parking after 18 years of driving...

Looks like HUD is the better option

335d xDrive Tourer.

Nice, I was tempted by the 335, however decided on the 330d xdrive tourer.

Target was keeping monthly for insurance, gap and pcp below 600.

Must have been close to that with the 335d?

My insurance isn't going up by much and the GAP over 3 years is about £10 pm (I think).

How are you finding the 330d xDrive? I didn't actually get to test drive the xDrive, but have been an avid BMW fan so didn't think I could go wrong really and having had the 335d coupe (E92) I just wanted that torque back.

I don't get mine until June actually, however had a few test drives in 330d and 320xdrive, also a 328.
Went with the 330 as not much of a jump from 320, however 320 to 335 was lol.

My previous car was a 3yr old c220cdi estate and my insurance was less for my 335d...Go figure!

I love my heated wheel but then I do have the awful 'plastic' rim sports wheel and so at least it doesn't feel like cold plastic ! You get a decent rim with an msport so not so much of a problem. I thought long and hard about EBT and was VERY close to speccing it but did not in the end and am SO pleased I didn't !

Beginning of February, however I hate to time it with end of my lease and being in UK.

It's a pain but worth it in the end lol.

Heated wheel is nice however if it's a choice there is much more driving value with the HUD, a really good piece of kit. Highly recommended.

Just a thought why don't u remove the parking pack and just spec reversing camera that will save you 200 I think it is... U don't really need the car to park it's self do you? And get surround view and HUD... Both really cool from what I have heard and read on here.

+1 I like your thought, but where do you stop... Just taken a look and although makes sense, it is another £300 to upgrade that way.

I will ask my dealer tomorrow though as adding the surround view was a bit of saving on the monthly's so may work out.!
