Question First Post and First Issue (P00B2)

Hi All,

So I’ve recently purchased a used BMW 328xi 2009 (37k miles). After owning it for 3 weeks (My purchase warranty from the dealer just got expired) I already have a SES light, using the regular OBD II scanner I got the following code: P00B2. From a quick internet search I found out that the following code could be the coolant temperature sensor or the electrical circuit. Since I’m new to the BMW club I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before (I’m by no means a mechanic but I know my way around wrench and have worked on cars before). I’m taking it to a BMW dealer to get it checked out soon, however, I don’t want to be ripped off by the dealer. Any further information would be greatly appreciated since I couldn’t find much using google.

Thanks!
