Oil Drain/Overfill - M3 2007

Iv read lots of posts on here about it and sorry to be a pain.

Should have read the manual before taking it into a garage it appears they have put too much oil in, and now reads over max.

The garage i took it to put 1 Litre of Oil in and i want to drain some to be safe and get it to a lower level, I have read on here that 1/2 litre can be drained from the front plug, Iv seen photos of both plugs but want to make certain which one i should drain.

Is it the one closest to the front of the car, or closer to the middle.

Sorry to sound dumb just dont want to do it on the wrong one.

Appreciate your time in reading!
