Discount on new 335d
Hi all,
New here and great forum. Ready to order 335d saloon and wondered what discount I should expect to achieve. Also is it likely I will get the same discount on the extra'S Car and extras on BMW website totals around £46,000 Need to be informed so I can be prepared for the negotiations tomorrow Cheers Paul |

Search for TRL and don't sign anything before you have heard from him.
I believe he has previously stated 20% target discount on a 335d which should be possible given that you haven't specced loads and loads of options (the biggest % discount is on the car because of dealer contribution from BMW so lots of options, at a lower discount, slightly reduce the overall % discount).

Wow, thats over 21% on DriveTheDeal, the best I've seen anywhere. And they say they'll put you in contact with the dealer to sort out PCP if needed. Crackin deal.

Yep, there are margins and then there are margins.
Remember sort the car out first get all discounts and what you will pay. THEN, start on discount for servicing pack ( free) winter tyres ( half price) full tank fuel and anything else you can think of. Keeping them separate means not hidden in car discount etc. Also do not use BMW gap, try ala , car 2 cover etc. |

Lots of discount posts. I've read every one!
Get at least as much as me as I'm no negotiator. That's £7,550 off a lowly specced 335D Msport circa £43,000. So guide discount has to be from my lowly £7550 up to £9,000 which is 20% or so. Also remember I in common with last years buyers got 3.9 % interest on PCP so there may be more for the dealer to give at 4.9%. Another point, I got full local dealer treatment as opposed to off the back of a lorry dropoff. Dealer client relationship may be something you think is worthwhile - some think not, some think so. |

Keep in mind that the Drive the deal price also includes the £500 BMW loyalty offer which is a little sneaky as you have to subtract £500 if you don't currently have a BMW. The deal I negotiated with TRL did not roll that into the quoted discount and so was very competitive when that was taken into account.

I've always run on the idea that if you ask they can only say no, and if you keep asking and they keep saying no then you have pretty much got a good deal.
These days you can get realistic target prices from lots of places. I must admit I do like the idea of using my local dealer so giving them a price to beat is my way to go. Avoid the BMW 'add ons', they are just to expensive. And if you go for a 3rd part GAP Insurance, with a heavy vehicle discount you really need replacement Gap and not invoice gap. Most of the 3rd party ones pay you the full replacement cost in cash (clearly the most flexible option), except ALA who source the car for you (or only give you the original purchase price as a cash settlement). Armed with a target price from the dealer always seems to make them sweat, its good fun really! |

Just to say at till the end of the month (prob the deal that most of the guys have here) its 4.9% APR on PCP and its £4000 contribution from BMW on 335D (I saw the promo document at my dealers) and then there is another £500 if you already own a BMW or Mini.
So £4500 is your starting point and then keep on asking till they say no Alex |

Well guys went to Sytner Nottingham and the only car they had similar was an Alpina diesel bi turbo thingy? Superb car but way more than I would spend on a depreciating can!!
Stealer gave me loads of crap about drive the deal like "they don't source them from the factory". When challenged he backtracked but he said he can't get near the deal but will get back to me RIGHT!!! Got another couple of dealers I am giving a chance to before I go with DTD if they can't help so keep you informed. By the way my list of extra's is growing daily so I need to order soon |
