E93 Vert: Plastic "Striker" Piece Fell off

Hi there,

A couple weeks ago I found a piece of plastic in my trunk that was very random. I almost threw it out, but set it aside just in case. Later it seemed like my top was louder when it was going up and today I found where it goes (See photo)

I guess its a striker plate for the plastic piece that bend up when the top is put back in place. There was a lot of glue where it came off, so I pressed and held it there for a while, then put my top up so the striker piece was holding it down and let it sit for an hour or so. Seems ok, but I'm afraid it might fall off again.

Anyone else had these fall off? If so, is there a better way to re-fasten? Thanks for any feedback!

Mine fell off after a couple years, I bought some automotive emblem glue and reattached about 3 years ago and it is still on there! I noticed more of a clunk after it fell of and found it missing after investigating.

Thanks Rob. So far I just held mine back on there for a few minutes and it seems to be staying. it made kind of a loud "whack" when the trunk lid closed before due to that being gone. sounds like a common/minor problem.
