Another emotional thread....

My E60 525D M Sport (my first BMW) goes away tomorrow and having a cold feet/buyers remorse moment. Got the car cleaned for the last time tonight and it looks absolutely stunning at the moment as its clean and back on 19" Spyders (which were refurbed)
Had a really good 3.5 years with her and its been an awesome cruiser and luxury barge but always felt that it was slightly too big for my needs.
Will take some last pics tomorrow morning before it goes away but feeling a bit sad and apprehensive at the moment.
I will be picking up my new car on Friday though..so here is hoping that tomorrow goes off without a hitch and that Friday comes around quickly.
Alex

Those are big wheels

I'm never sad to see a car go: there's always a reason why it's time to move on...

Ha ha!! Rollin' rollin'
I am kinda sad with this one as its my first BMW but the deal was too good to pass (APR is half what I am paying, better spec and better tech) but its 6 years old in August (58 Plate) and has done 60K so a big bill is just around the corner (also have an annoying rumble at 2K which is either engine/gearbox mount related or Gearbox) but still love it.

I guess I'm lucky in that there's always been a good reason to sell the car I had and move on. I thought selling the 911 would be hard, however it turns out it wasn't: I'd had a great time with it, some unforgettable experiences, but I needed something else. I still cleaned and polished it before the new owner picked it up - he was amazed - but there were no regrets as he drove it off, glinting in the sunlight and looking pretty stunning. I'm sure I'll be boring people in 20 years time with the story of taking the kids camping in a 911 with a roof box on it though ;-)

Well that is the 525 gone, BCA came to pick it up this afternoon. Was a little sad to see it driven away. So far no issues with the hand back. Now to change the insurance and get ready for tomorrow :-)

Ha ha ha...like I said in a previous thread. It would have been nice to have the option of having Yellow Calipers on the M Sport Brakes as that would have been all the colours for Superman

She is here!!! Spent a couple of hours at the Dealer this afternoon (salesman noticed that the rear plate was a bit rough looking and got a new one made and then spent a while taking me through the car) Got a couple of rough pics from the Dealer before it started rain (also they have valeters cleaning the car lot too so it was wet either way )

Will need to have a play around with the HK Sound System and take a few more pics once the rain stops (that will be around about School Exams time in May or late August )

Great looking car... Hope you enjoy it and don't miss the E60 anymore.

I too am selling an E60 to make way for an F31.

Can't wait!

Red face

Looks great, really like the EB II colour.

Unfortunately, I had to make a couple of comprises to get the car purchase sanctioned by the missus and colour was one of them, so have an F30 335d xDrive M Sport on order in Sapphire Black.

Got a long wait though, almost end of May for mine, it's killing me!

9th March, but apparently got a build slot locked in pretty quick so it might come forward by a week or so. Haven't asked yet, don't want to appear too pestering like a 5 year old……but might have to ask?

Strangely mine liked EBII but not Superman.

She did pay for the Pro Media.

Was not allowed MG or Black, as very common here.

About 6 months ago when I came back from the garage after a service of my current black car, I said to the wife that I saw a lovely EBII car in the showroom, she was adamant that "when we change cars we are not getting that blue". Hence "we" decided on another Black car when I ordered the F30 - but after a couple of visits to dealer she decided it was actually really nice - and I got the all clear to change the colour

I have a long term girlfriend, but even if she was my wife she would not have ANY say on what colour car i have! Just the same as i don't have any say on what she wears for example.

Why do some guys let their women control them like this!?
