Feeling a bit emotional!

Although i am very excited about getting my new car tomorrow, i just drove my old car for the last time and it's made me feel a bit emotional!

I've put a lot of time, money & effort into maintaining & improving it, and it's feels a bit strange that i'm going to let some stranger drive away with it!

Is this normal or am i being a bit sad!?

As soon as you get your new car, you will soon forget! Times move on.

I got a bit emotional when I sold my first car.

Just depends how many memories you've had with the car

Yes i'm sure you're right. I just haven't sold a car in such nice condition before, last car wasn't an M Sport, one before had rusty arches etc.

It has taken me all over the country and to Paris so there is good memories. Also it was my first M Sport BMW, something i'd wanted (second to an M3) since i was quite young!

It's not just you. I always feel a bit guilty when I'm getting rid of a car. I spent last weekend giving the Audi a good clean and polish despite the fact that it will be gone in last than 2 weeks. So if you're sad then I'm equally sad. That being said I can't wait to get behind the wheel of my first BMW :-)

I detailed my last car before handing it over. Gave it a proper send-off. Seemed the right thing to do. If you're not emotionally attached to the car then it was either a dreadful car or you need to go see the wizard because you haven't got a heart.

Really pleased your car is here - can't wait to hear all about it.

Enjoy New Car Day!

I was sort-of sad to see my last car go, but because of constantly going backwards and forwards to the dealers trying to get the numerous squeaks/creaks/rattles sort out, I didn’t really get attached to it.

When I traded my L reg Corsa 1.5d LS (note not a td, there was no turbo!) with 100k miles for a brand new Mini Cooper I also shed tears.

Tears of joys and pure happiness!

I always feel sad when I say goodby to a car.

I just hope that the next owner will both enjoy and appreciate her...

My E90 320D LCI M Sport will be gone in a few weeks too, 330D currently in build right now. Feel sad in a way, in three years that car hasn't put a foot wrong and has been such a nice car to drive and look at (will probably suffer catastrophic turbo failure on the way home now i've jinxed it).

Mine has been almost perfect in 2 years & 32k, just a bent pulley that was done under warranty!

It is so immaculate it just seems a bit wrong to be getting rid of it!

I'm definitely not going to be sad getting rid of my X5 E70 high tax battery draining tractor, can't wait to say goodbye. Anyone want to buy an X5?

I know what you mean, it's always a bit of a break leaving the old car (well apart from one mondeo I had, total nightmare).

My current BMW is a lovely Le Mans blue m sport touring, with about 12k on since June 12.

However, I am really really looking toward to 3.0 and my first auto box.
