Hello sunshine, my EBII is washed

Proud to say I have washed my car after 3 years of all being trips to the local car wash...

Excuse the repetitive imagery, it's a car & colour that brings joy to me starring at it!

You can't beat washing it yourself. When it looks as good as that it certainly brings some good amount of personal joy.

Now you just need to go shopping for wax.... Oh and snow foam....oh and a pre wax wash.... Oh and a sealant...oh maybe a glaze. Then there is rim wax, can't miss having waxing them..

Yes definitely a good job, just wait until he gets some supernatural hybrid on or some dodo juice...

Very nice mate!

And i'd say you made the best decisions on the M Performance kit, colour coded lip and sills, no sill sticker, and whole diffuser left black!

Oh and no Viper stripe decals!

@USC2000 , @carzaddict , @Brigand , @Rich9600 , @DazC , @PrinceBarin

Thank you all , I must say the self satisfaction you get out of washing it yourself is unbeatable. As much as I would love to have some of the kit some of you have, I regretfully have no patience, But I am very jealous and tempted

Estoril Blue is truly a vibrant colour and I don't think you can get bored of it easily, although my opinion might be biased here.

Thank you @teaston , am glad you said that..

Get something like supernatural hybrid, very easy to put on and buff up.

It's a wax and sealant, last for a good while.

Would make the EBII even more yummy

Looking beautiful. I spent all day getting mine washed and protected today too. Looks fantastic in the sun. Actually looking forward to some rain so I can see the beading on the paint!

One thing I noticed today...whilst polishing, the polish gave the paint a matte look before I buffed it off. Got me thinking about estoril blue with a Matte finish. From what I saw i think it would look stunning. Thoughts on this?

@Brigand Thanks mate, have just ordered some based on your advice..

Is there anything nice and easy for the wheels, without rusting out the center hubs you would recommend?

@vikz55 I think i've seen an M5 on 'frozen blue' which is Matt and looks like Estoril Blue, absolutely stunning! Here's a pic of it

@Brigand makes a great suggestion with the Supernatural Hybrid. It's great stuff, I bought it solely for use on my wheels but was so impressed I used it on my car.

This is my DIY detail using it and some other stuff...

Not sure on matt finish cars, I seem to remember them having a matt grey M3 on Top Gear a few years ago. Bugs and bird 'presents' needed removing immediately.

MWA, I recommend valet pro bilberry wheel cleaner. It's pH neutral and a great cleaning product. Available from clean your car. The car looks superb. I washed and cleaned and sealed and waxed over the last 2 days myself. Love standing back and looking at a shiny car. It's very satisfying. Neighbours think I am nuts. The girl next door told my wife she saw me polishing my exhaust. She probably thought I was using toothpaste if she saw my tube of Autosol in my hand.

Haha! You reminded me of a friend who once bought an electric toothbrush to clean his wheels lol thanks for advice though, so many products and different recommendations. Probably going to get a couple of different products and see which works better with my complete lack of knowledge when it comes to detailing!

Tbh I didn't even know detailing businesses existed before I joined this forum! :/

Looks great!

Have to agree with Teaston that the M Performance body kit colour coded May be the best option... I'm now coming round to the front splitter like this!

Thanks mate,

Took a lot of research and looked at a lot of cars including @d4springer's car which was very inspirational.. I knew I had to have the Kit

Now when I see an f30 on the road, I admire it, but it looks plain and as if missing something, as am so used to seeing mine.

Everyone that says the front splitter is a curb catcher, I never have that problem as I always reverse park

Do you mind saying how much it cost to buy, paint and fit all the parts?

I'd probs go for front splitter, side skirts, touring roof spoiler. Diffuser won't fit as I have the tow bar. All colour coded like yours!
