Newbie coming from F21

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Josh, 25.

I've just ordered a new F30 318d M-Sport. Coming from a 2012 F21 in EBII with coral red. Great car but I've had a fair few problems with it. Totalled 15 trips back to the dealer in 18 months. Still not 100% but its only with me for another month or so.

Real detailing freak (OCD for sure) and I get a bit attached to cars so inconsiderate people need to give me a wide birth!! Apart from my 1 series I have 2004 Ford Focus which I've had since I was 17. Spent too much money on it when I was younger and now I can't seem to let it go. Sad I know! Really looked after it and its still like brand new.

This is my Focus, not to everyone's taste but I still love it.

Past cars have also been BMW 3 series only older ones. I had a 1995 316 done 66k. Sold on 76k. Alpine white, poverty spec car but was immaculate.

Then I sold the 316 and bought this. 1999 E36 in Avus blue. 74k when I bought it and was also immaculate. Had lots of rare AC Schnitzler parts! Ended up being too low and impractical so stripped it back and sold it to make way for the 1 series.

So the F30. Should be here around mid April. Gone for,

- Black sapphire
- Coral Red
- M-Sport Plus so 19's HK etc
- Heated seats

Very excited to get it but the wait is awful!!

Hope I haven't bored everyone to death

Cheers

Josh

It's on air suspension. Goes higher than stock suspension when raised.

Ah i see!

The blue E36 was nice, except the orange indicators!

What steering wheel is that in your 1 series? It's not the M Sport one!

Some very nice looking cars.
Its great to see a genuine car enthusiast, with an eye for detail.

Any plans for the 318d?

Definitely the M-Sport wheel. The sport steering wheel doesn't have the silver trim and is a different leather.

I think so! I actually bought all the stuff for the 1 series. BC racing coilovers, Rotiform IND 19" wheels but because I had so much trouble with it I sold everything. When I get my 3 series I will explain everything that happened. Not great!

Would like to do the same to the F30. Same coilovers but some nice 5 spoke 20's. Probably a spoilers and a front lip. Car looks the part standard so not much will need doing to put my stamp on it.

I didn't realise they'd changed it, it's been like that on the Configurator for quite a while!

It's either the sport or the merino individual one

Yeah its a bit of an update. They changed the wheel and the oyster/oyster colour world to oyster/black. I nearly ordered a new 1 series to replace mine in black with oyster/black and the new wheel but the F30 was too appealing.

We had a lad on camp, he spent almost 2 years building the 'perfect' sports kit car.

It looked stunning, even stripped the engine and built it back up.

Everything was stunning.

However he went to drive it off camp, unfortunately, the front spoiler lip was too far forward and he could not get off camp lol.

Was epic.

He ended up putting air kit on as well lol.

Welcome Josh. You have had some nice cars. That E36 looks really nice with the tan leather. I still wouldn't mind one of those. Since I'm only 24, the E36 is kind of a classic to me.

When is the F30 due?

Thanks man. The tan interior was quite rare. Bought it off a guy who crashed his Boston green M3 GT and then turned it into a track car. Lovely car but I went a bit too far with it and became really impractical. Got it stuck a few times. Once at v festival trying to get out of the car park with a crowd of people watching. Yeah

Went to the dealer yesterday and said my car should go into production soon and should be due around the middle of April. Fingers crossed.

Nice cars josh. I wish I was young enough to have kept pics of all my cars over the years. Kept all the brochures though!

Hi welcome to the forum, some very good examples you have there, I'm loving the blue E36, I had a 328i in AW, low spec (no traction control!).

I see you know something about Alloys, I'm still contemplating some third party ones for mine but still no idea what to get, will be interesting to see what you go for.

Haha yeah I already eyed yours up on the forum. I was trying to find some decent pictures of a black M-sport with 403's and stubbled across your. Stunning car you have! I really wanted to go for Opal white but couldn't justify the extra £1200+ as I love coral red nearly as much. May be next time.
