Hi Guys,
I want to swap my Black Msport Seats with Red ones, I've not been able to find a complete DIY for it, would someone be able to help please Here's what I have gathered Fronts 1) Seat forward, remove left and right rear bolts 2) Slide seat all the way back, remove left and right front bolts 3) Slide seat forward 4) Tilt seat backward 5) Disconnect Battery [Negative Battery Lead], wait for a couple of mins 6) Remove Bulkhead connectors 7) Remove seat from car Questions - Can the Torx screws/bolts be reused on the new seats or is it recommended that I get new ones ? - Is the Torx size T47 or T50? - The seats are heavy, any advice on how to get it off and back on without nicking the paint/trims ? Rear 1) The Bottom cushion I believe are held down by two clips, so just pull up near the corners with decent force and they should come off ? 2) Side Bolsters, I believe I just need yank them out carefully ? When reinstalling, I've got to take care to transplant the white clips left behind on the body back to the side bolsters ? 3) The "FOLD DOWN BACK SEATS" is what I am unsure about ? How do I get this out guys, this is where I need help please ? The Center console and the door cards are pretty straight forward I assume ??? Any other tips/tricks that would aid me in completing this project successfully is very welcome Thanks a lot for the help Cheers Rudz |

It's very easy to replace the interior.... you'll need a T50 to remove the seat bolts!
I have taken my seats out many times & not replaced the bolts.... some recommend you do but I didn't see the point? This can be your own decision. The rear back bench.... unscrew the bolt either side & then wiggle the back until the y come apart! This is the most difficult removal & install.... just keep wiggling! |
