Question RS7 vs F10 M5

Any thoughts?
I haven't test driven the RS7 only the 2013 S6
But just seen the video by Lieberman and I and another rememebr couldn't help have this question pop up to our mind...

Well in Lieberman's (I know... I don't like him either... He is crazy he doesn't like our M5-
Panamera was a clear winner over RS7...

I am not voting as I never test drove RS7 yet I have M5 and that won't be professional to vote...
And I was hoping voters have test driven both ... please...

But just to chime in my 2 cents
M5 was definitely better than S6

really don't like RS7's rear design. doesn't seem to match the rest of the car.

Design aside because that's subjective
I too don't care for its rear and I belive it is a lot more hideous that the Panamera's dreaded rear.

But driving wise ?
So far it seems that nobody on this board has really set foot in that car -

Spot on the car look pretty good, but that fast back look/rear end is a deal breaker for me. I would take the Panamera over the Audi, and I think the Panamera rear is terrible. I would clearly take the M6GC over this car hands down. Just me 2 cents

Ive driven it--- its quick. When I say quick I mean stupid mash and go from a dig quick especially for a car weighing over 4500 lbs and carrying 21 inch cast shoes. Its definitely faster from a dig than my M6 or my previously owned M5.

I was able to, in my short test run, get it to 110 on a traffic free street. The car in stock format impressed and this car already has a tune out (a real tune) that is pushing its zero to 60 at 3.0 seconds flat. Ive had several cars that can go 0-60 in under 3 seconds and none of them were/are sedans.

As you said looks are subjective and because I like to try new things and waste my money Im seriously considering this thing.

Who cares, I took more time to post my thoughts. I dont really ever use that silly poll thing and you apparently love polls. Id rather post my thoughts thru my experiences.

Honestly I cant vote since it was just a test drive and I owned the M5 and M6. So I abstain.

I wonder what your next poll will be?? Polls can be fruitful when all the data and driver experiences are prevalent. I dont see this poll as being that since I dont know one owner of the RS7 where I live or one that has owned both cars.

Personally, I like the M5 better than the RS7. And that's being unbiased. But I like the RS6 more than the M5..I love fast wagons. Too bad Europe is holding them captive!

Dude if you don't like my polls or my threads just nicely refrain from sharing your thoughts -
I really think POLLS are fun and easier for so many members who are not interested to post their thoughts like you...

So just be mindful of that...
Happy new year
I can't promise you less polls but I can promise you that you have the right to ignore my thread from now on -

Not at all, its how you read it... there is no tone in text.

and if I didnt place my tangible input this poll/thread would be relatively worthless.

Straight line pace not in doubt then, what did you think of the handling in comparison to the M5/6? I recommended the RS6 avant to someone after they referred to my M5 as a beast and they said they had been told it wasn't as good to drive (obviously an opinion not based on driving the RS6). I would have thought that the AWD would be quite welcome in real world on-road driving

I didnt get a chance to truly take it in the back roads so I cant comment... the last few comparos on video and in mags say its not the best true track car (not sure why anyone would care about a sedan this way) but they really enjoyed the car in the mountain passes and short and twisties.

I need drive it more, but the problem is there are no cars on the ground to drive locally. If they are listed in AutoTrader is because they are pre sold.

Wow, luxury car market is nuts over there, UK has 17% discount on RS7 list without even trying (even 991 GT3 is 5%).

OK so that's still equivalent to $114 and possibly lower spec...

Love it. Saying what I'm sure many on here feel, but haven't said.

Vic55, thanks for sharing your perspective about the RS7. It's definitely a formidable ride.

WOW-- here the car sells for sticker pre order and if there are any order cancels on the ground I heard the last few went for 10k us dollars over sticker. There is only about 7% in the msrp from invoice to sticker so the pricing and the market completely differs.

Id die for a gt3 at sticker right not let alone one at 5% off.

Opps, sorry should have said $114K (I'm sure you self-correct that typo)

UK is also about 8% profit on new car for dealer, most here have to rely on hitting sales targets & back end margins. Only some exotics are above list. Last time 'normal' cars (e53, etc.) were above list was back in 2002/3.

Don't worry, even with 5% below list, that's still equivalent to $160K + depreciation is higher over here, so needs careful consideration unless that's pocket change.
