need remote start help
ok so I've been searching for 2 days on this topic and found lots of info but got more confused. i have an 09 e90 with keyless entry but no factory alarm. i'm looking to confirm what i need before ordering. was looking at the CLIFFORD 5902X and adding the smart start module.
2 questions: 1) can the smart start module be used by itself without the clifford alarm? the viper site makes it seem like it could be used as a standalone. 2)do i also need either or both the directed dlpk and kibmw kits? thanks in advance for the help! |

Viper has complete smartstart kits. they also have the smartstart module which will work with a seperate alarm.
You need both the kibmw and dlpk. Just follow the wiring diagram for the kibmw. Using d2d there isn't much to connect its just the brake wires, power ground, and can. Solder and heatshrink all connections and you won't have any issues with it later. |

I would just go with the python ps3000 or ps5000. Or just get the vsm/dsm250 and a separate alarm. http://www.amazon.com/Directed-Elect.../dp/B00473Y5J8 http://www.amazon.com/Directed-Elect.../dp/B00473W478 http://www.amazon.com/Directed-Elect...ywords=dsm+250 |
