So my car keeps saying right front parking lamp malfunction.
Intermittently. Now looking at the official bulb guide; why are the signal bulb and parking lamp listed as 2 different bulbs? On a 2007 e90 sedan the turn signal bulb and parking lamp is the same bulb. Look below at the official list: 1. H7 (Low beam Headlamp) 2. H11-55w (Fog Bulbs) 3. 2825, 5W (front side marker light) 4. H7 (High beam headlamp) 5. 2825 (Parking light) 6. 7507A, 7507 AST, 2825 (Front Turn signal) 7. 7528 (Rear turn signal) 8. 7528 (Tail light) 9. 7528 (stop light) 10. 6418 (License plate) 11. 6418 (Glove box) 12. 2821, 6411, 6418 (step/courtesy light) 13. 6411 (Trunk/cargo area) DN |

I am having a similar problem on my 06 325 xi with the left lamp. From talking to a mechanic friend who use to work on VW he said that the buld sensing systems are looking at a voltage across any given circuit. If the voltage changes, the system thinks that a bulb is burned out. This can be caused by corrosion on the contact terminals. I have not been able to chase mine down yet.
The different bulb listings are probably from different bulbs being used in different models or packages. Manufacturers often list them all to be safe. |

Unfortunately, idk the answer about the '07 335's. When i got mine I had the message "Driver side Daytime Running Lamp malfunction". I took this time to upgrade all my bulbs that i had accessible from the engine bay. A new h8 and h3 for each side so they could match. Hope someone helps out OP.

Dme and e92.
Thanks for the input, just waiting till Saturday to take a look at mine closely. I have to change the brake air duct on the left anyways and tighten the front bumper as I have a small squeak; this happens when I push the bumper up... Something is loose. DN |
