What percent tint should i get?

I have a silver 325 and i'm thinking about getting my windows tinted but i don't really know anything about percents and what not...............so what percent would look good? any info would be great thanks

I prefer 35% because it gives you all of the benefits of tinted windows without the drawbacks with going too dark. A lot of people on car forums think the darker the better and will tell you "get limo tints y0," but I find that anything darker then 35% (ie. 20% or lower) is really annoying when driving at night. From a visual perspective I also think that really dark tints remind me of tupac's BMW from 1992, it looks retarded to me at least.

FWIW 35% is nicer and safer especially if front tints are illegal in your state, its seems to me the cops don't mind 35% but once you go lower then that they'll notice you more.

I have 28% on my e92 and I love it. I wouldn't really want to go darker because I still want to be able to see at night, but if your state is 35% I would stick with that so you don't have to worry about tickets. Cali is 35 right?

I'm wondering the same thing.. My A4 had 20% all around. It was nice , but was a tad dark at night on the black on black car.

35% is always a safe call..

for silver i would get somewhere between 35% and 20%. i.e. either 20 back, 35 front or 30 all around or something like that

If you gave a light interior and or exterior, you can go with a darker tint and get away with it.

I got 20% and I love it. Only bad thing is backing up at night really.
