RF Door handle replacment

I bought the handle, but when I got the door panel off looks like the plastic pins were melted and pushed down. What is the repair procedure? my door handle itself is peeling like crazy, that's why I decided to replace it. I'm thinking about some flat washers and self tapping screws that fit the holes. ??

99 views and I'm still trying to figure this out... I can't be the only one. I had a brainfart to try some rivets and cut the plastic down.

^yup, everyone has been where I'm at. OK, more importantly, how do you completely remove the door panel? It's like the tweeter needs to come off. my $200 FSM doesn't really cover it in great detail. I got all the clips popped out, but the door handle and tweeter were an issue.
