How much off MSRP is everyone getting for 335 convertible?

Are any of the dealers discounting these or just the coupes?

Bought mine ED. Ended up at 1500 over ED invoice price. Paid $50725 for the following:

335i Convertible w/ metallic paint
sport package
premium package
cold weather package
ipod adaptor
navigation system
comfort access

The U.S. MSRP on this configuration is 56,950.
That's a savings of $6225.

I'm not sure what to make of that. I know one of the notions are you get a free trip to Europe, car savings is supposed to cover your trip costs, which nowadays, is high. In other words, after paying for the trip out of the 6225, 1,200 of which is a normal discount, so make it 5k, how much do you actually save?

You're lucky if you can get .7 EUR for $1. So while you're there, you'll be paying a lot for everything under the sun. On the employer's nickel it's ok, but on your own, it gets a bit frustrating. If you don't want to go to Europe anyway, a free trip (or one that nets out to free) isn't worth anything, and you've lost your time spent going there and waiting for your vehicle to come back. I think the bottom line is you've gotta want a trip to Europe. If a person only has 4 wks. per year to begin with, do they really want to spend 2 over there, and pay $5 for a bottled water? What I'm driving at it's like a credit card rewards program that rewards you with something you may not have wanted in the first place.

You save what you save. What you spend the savings on doesn't matter. It costs approx. $1200 for my wife and I to fly to Munich (2 for 1 Lufthansa). If a "normal" discount is 1200 + plane fare of 1200, you still save $3825. You could fly there, pick the car up, drop it off the same day and fly home.

Also, there is no guarantee of a discount on anything, as it seems some dealers in California want to give nothing.

Cheaper to have the car trucked in from the east coast

I bought my 08 335 convertible thee weeks ago. Discount was $2500, and they got me the car in two weeks equipped as I wanted it.
