Driving my 335i less, any advice?

So I picked up a beater to put miles on so that I wouldn't be racking up the miles on my 335i. Any advice about how often I should drive it to keep the battery charged and the fuel system healthy?

I probably drive it every couple of days right now, put maybe 10 miles on it each day, and then drive it normally on the weekend 50+ miles.

Also, I will try to keep E85 in the tank as much as possible. Right now I've got 40% in the tank.

Once a week it should be enough.

Do you think there's a minimum amount (time or speed) of driving to charge the battery? I remember people used to say I needed to drive freeway speeds.

Battery Tender. Get one, or use the one you have.

Better to keep 100% gasoline in the tank if you are storing for periods of time. Water will mix with alcohol fuel but not so much with petroleum fuel.

Even if I'm driving it (minimally) every 2-3 days at least?

^ missed that part. If you turnover the tank relatively often then you shouldn't have a problem.

Any reason why you decided not to just drive the E92 all the time? Seems like with the depreciation on these it's not a great financial decision to keep a series car as a garage queen.

If I had to estimate, I'd say with my current driving, I'd turn a tank over in about 2-3 weeks.

I refinanced the car into a purchase recently with about 40k miles on it. And I purchased a beater for my commutes. I drive about 90-100 miles round trip 2-3 times a week.

I would suggest once a week, do a longer run, preferable highway, burnt off some moisture in the system
