Buying my first bimmer tomorrow/today

Hi i'm in the UK

I'm about to buy my first bimmer, a e92 320 se auto with sat nav business, hifi loudspeaker system, leather seats, rain & light sensors, usb interface

but the audi a5 1.8 keeps tempting me though

any advice before i take the plunge tomorrow? It feels like i'm getting married lol

Unless you get a 335 or a diesel (with the nice ZF auto) avoid the steptronic option at any cost. It ruins an othervise great car. The GM sourced steptronic in the 320, 325, 328 is very very hesitant, jerks and jumps, is highly unlogic in shift points and make driving without getting coffee all over you hard. It makes you wish you had a manual at all times....

really?!! i've been meaning to ask you guys abut the steptronic on e90; so actually there is a difference between 335d's box and other engine on e90.....isn't it?

Go for the bimmer. I am still in love after 6 months, 2007 e90 pure, no frills just the stick, radio. Love the ride, corners tightness of the car. Never will go back to any other car.

I tested 320d (steptronic) few days ago when I put an order for 320da. Steptronic did awesome job.
